Activities
Activity 5.1
A number of websites provide visual tools to assess density variation. The missing middle website shows housing type variation and its associated density level. The Canadian Urban Institute has a visualizing density website. This website attempts to answer the question: “What do 80,000 people in a square mile look like?”
Activity 5.2
The Skyscraper Museum’s exhibit Housing Density, from Tenements to Towers, can be found here.
Activity 5.4
A number of websites can be used to find density levels, including Wikipedia,
SocialExplorer, or a map of world population density. Social Explorer has an interactive map of trailer parks in the U.S.: Trailer Park City.
